Greater Centennial Federal Credit Union

The Greater Centennial Federal Credit Union was founded in November, 1968 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Belvie Holland Jackson, Jr. and the support of others in the Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church. The institution received it’s charter and began operating in January, 1969.

The Greater Centennial Federal Credit Union has a membership of over 1,000 with total assets of over $230,000. The institution’s net worth ratio for the fiscal year ending December, 2005 was 18%--the highest in the financial institution’s 37 year history. Net worth ratio is a measure of capital adequacy; as determined by the NCUA, in general a net worth ratio of 7% or greater categorizes a federal credit union as “well capitalized”.
